A Place to Rest in the Light of Christ

The Sohara Foundation exists to advance the Christian faith by creating spaces for reflection, teaching, prayer, and community grounded in the Holy Bible and the Gospel of John.

We believe the light revealed through Jesus Christ does not compel or coerce, but quietly reveals what is true, restores what is broken, and invites all people into life lived with love, clarity, and integrity.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
— John 1:5

About Us

The Sohara Foundation was formed in response to the Gospel of John and its witness to Jesus Christ as the Word made flesh and the light of the world.

The opening words of John’s Gospel — “In the beginning was the Word” — speak not only to belief, but to recognition. They testify to a truth that steadies, illuminates, and endures. The Gospel of John does not argue for faith through force or fear. It bears witness to a light that is present, relational, and life-giving.

Sohara exists to advance this Christian faith by offering scripture-based teaching, pastoral care, and community grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ. We seek to support individuals and families as they explore faith, conscience, and ethical living through love expressed in relationship.

This ekklesia is not a place of pressure or persuasion. It is a place of faithful witness — where scripture is shared, prayer is offered, and Christian life is lived with care and integrity.

All are welcome to engage freely, without coercion, as we seek to live in alignment with the truth revealed through Christ.

Why Sohara Exists

Many people sense truth long before they have words for it — moments of clarity, conscience, or compassion that arise quietly and without force. The Gospel of John affirms this recognition by revealing Jesus Christ as the true light, present from the beginning, who gives life to all.

The Sohara Foundation exists to honour this recognition by advancing the Christian faith in a way that respects conscience, invites reflection, and supports faithful living. We believe truth does not need to be imposed to be real, and that Christ’s light endures through love, not domination.

Here, faith is nurtured through scripture, prayer, teaching, and service — enabling individuals and communities to live with clarity, integrity, and trust in God’s presence.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5)
